Nuqs Inertia Adapter

I was adding the nuqs inertia adapter to a Laravel application.

Versions:
"laravel/framework": "^11.31",
"inertiajs/inertia-laravel": "^2.0",
"@inertiajs/react": "^2.0.0",

When I run the command:
npx shadcn@latest add @nuqs/adapter-inertia

I get the error:

Command failed with exit code 1: pnpm add 'inertia@^0.9.0' nuqs
The latest release of inertia is "0.0.7".
If you need the full list of all 7 published versions run "$ pnpm view inertia versions".

And my question is: why is inertia listed as a dependency in the registry item

if the package is @inertiajs/react?

The inertia package is marked as deprecated https://www.npmjs.com/package/@inertiajs/inertia

And I’m thinking, is it really necessary to list inertia as a dependency? If people are installing this adapter, shouldn’t they already have inertia installed?
