MQTT Connector not working with openhab

Dear Community,
this is an excellent programm. I had some troubles installing, maybe the pipx is somehow not working for me. But with the pip3 installation and the virtual environment it works.
I would need some help.
The webui and the connector are working.
Nevertheless with the MQTT Plugin and openhab I am not making any progress. I do not even know how to debug. Appologize. If you can assist on this one, this would be terrific.

I am using the MQTT plugin together with openHAB without problems - maybe I can assist. Please let me know, what the problem is in openHAB.
Do you have the MQTT binding installed and working in openHAB?
Did you create a .things file to connect the mosquitto broker to thing definitions in openHAB?
Can you connect to your mosquitto instance via MQTT Explorer and read the entries from the connector?
Let me know, maybe I can help - but please allow some time for reply, I am not working in here so often... ;-)

that was the missing link for me. Thank you.
The MQTT Explorer helped me to add the items to openhab.
