Tianon has been working on Open Source both personally and professionally for over 15 years. In the last 10+, he's been primarily focused on containers, especially around the Docker (Moby) open source project and related tooling and communities. Outside of containers, Tianon enjoys playing with ADS-B, tinkering with the MooseFS distributed filesystem, and using and contributing to the Debian project.

His most recent programming-related obsession is jq, especially using it in ways that it was never designed (as a template engine especially for Dockerfiles, a replacement for HCL in Terraform, as a shell scripting language, as a JSON validation framework, etc).
