Window Focus Lost After Latest Rectangle Update

Since the latest Rectangle update, I’ve been experiencing an issue where the active window repeatedly loses focus while I’m typing. For example, when composing an email, the focus unexpectedly shifts away from the message window, preventing me from continuing to type. After manually clicking the window to regain focus, it works again—until the focus is lost once more.

The log shows the following entries around the time of the issue:

2025-11-18T16:23:00+01:00: Failed to find frontmost window.
2025-11-18T16:23:00+01:00: Unable to find app bundle for com.apple.SecurityAgent
2025-11-18T16:23:06+01:00: Updating visible window info
2025-11-18T16:23:08+01:00: Updating visible window info

Could you please check whether this is a known problem or if anyone else has reported similar behavior?

Thanks for letting me know. Can you send me your configuration? You can export it from the general tab of the settings window.

Also, as a quick sanity check, does it only happen while rectangle pro is running?

Hey @rxhanson the only other thing thats changed --> macOS update on latest 26.1 version.
I´ve just tried to quit rectangle and got the same error - so i think its not really related to rectangle? is quitting the application enough?

If so, i am going to raise an apple ticket

If you still see the issue and Rectangle Pro is not running then we know for certain that the problem is not Rectangle Pro.

Do you have any other apps that are running that require access accessibility permissions? I would troubleshoot those first before sending to Apple.
