No longer opening apps from different desktops

I don't know if this is a bug, or a setting has changed, but bringing up charmstone and hovering over an app (which is in a differnt desktop), wont switch to the app's window. It will open the app (it brings it up on menubar) but wont bring up the window and will stay in the same desktop. It used to switch desktops, but is no longer working. 'Launch active apps' is ticked

Don't worry about it...It was a mac setting that has changed..

If you don't mind, which macOS setting was causing an issue for you? I might be able to work around this issue or notify of the behavior within the app.

Hi, it was
Desktop and Dock>Mission Control>'When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application".
The toggle was on, but it didn't work till i restarted macos.
