Explanation: Quake mode is a feature, where you can basically let a terminal (or any other app) a part of the screen without interfering with the existing layout.
Background:
I love the idea of workspaces and organizing the whole DE with it, however sometimes I need a Terminal without switching to a specific workspace or try to drag a file from the file manager to a specific app on another workspace, which requires some additional steps having everything well organized but fixed.
My solution to this is to use the "quake mode" for the Terminal App and the File Manager App based on shortcuts (SUPER + F for files and SUPER + T for terminal) to roll up the required window where ever I currently am.
Would this be already possible and if not, which steps would be required to allow that? (If something has to be coded, I'm willing to submit a PR on this - a few instructions on how and where to start would be awesome).

Hello,
just wanted to discuss the idea of having a general option to "quake mode" app, similar to this GNOME extension:
https://github.com/repsac-by/gnome-shell-extension-quake-mode
or this COSMIC one (Terminal only):
