Adds a system-preference-driven dark mode to the application using MudBlazor's WatchSystemPreference. Removes hardcoded "black" and "white" values from PowerFlowComponent.razor and replaces them with CSS variables to ensure the color scheme adapts automatically across the entire app.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 8970910821004949689 started by @pkuehnel

- Adds `WatchSystemPreference` to MainLayout.razor to automatically follow system dark mode preferences.
- Defines `PaletteDark` in the `MudTheme`.
- Replaces hardcoded SVG colors in `PowerFlowComponent` with standard MudBlazor palette CSS variables (`--mud-palette-text-primary` and `--mud-palette-background`).

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a system-preference-driven dark mode to the application. By integrating MudBlazor's theme management with system settings, the UI will now automatically adjust its color scheme based on the user's operating system preference, providing a more consistent and user-friendly experience.

Highlights

  • System Dark Mode Implementation: Implemented a system-preference-driven dark mode using MudBlazor's WatchSystemPreference feature to automatically adapt the UI theme.
  • Dynamic Color Scheme: Replaced hardcoded 'black' and 'white' color values in PowerFlowComponent.razor with dynamic CSS variables (var(--mud-palette-text-primary) and var(--mud-palette-background)) to ensure colors adapt correctly with the chosen theme.
  • MudBlazor Theme Configuration: Configured the MudThemeProvider in MainLayout.razor to bind to the system's dark mode preference and added a PaletteDark definition to the application's MudTheme.
Changelog
  • TeslaSolarCharger/Client/Components/StartPage/PowerFlowComponent.razor
    • Replaced all instances of stroke="black" with stroke="var(--mud-palette-text-primary)" for dynamic text color.
    • Replaced all instances of fill="white" with fill="var(--mud-palette-background)" for dynamic background color.
  • TeslaSolarCharger/Client/Shared/MainLayout.razor
    • Bound the MudThemeProvider's IsDarkMode property to a new private field _isDarkMode.
    • Added _isDarkMode private field to track the current dark mode state.
    • Implemented OnAfterRenderAsync to initialize _isDarkMode from system preference and set up a watcher for future changes.
    • Added OnSystemPreferenceChanged method to update the _isDarkMode state when the system preference changes.
    • Extended the _tscTheme definition to include a PaletteDark configuration, ensuring proper dark mode styling.

Code Review

This pull request effectively introduces a system-preference-driven dark mode by leveraging MudBlazor's theming capabilities. The replacement of hardcoded colors with CSS variables in PowerFlowComponent.razor is a solid approach for theme adaptability. The implementation in MainLayout.razor to watch for system preference changes is also well done. I have one suggestion for improvement regarding thread safety in an event handler. As a potential follow-up, you might want to review other components for hardcoded colors; for instance, BatteryIcon.razor still seems to use black and white, which could be updated to use theme variables for a more consistent dark mode experience across the application.

For better thread safety and adherence to Blazor's best practices, it's recommended to wrap UI state updates that originate from outside Blazor's UI event loop (like this callback from JavaScript interop) in InvokeAsync. This ensures the update is safely dispatched to the component's synchronization context.

    private Task OnSystemPreferenceChanged(bool newValue)
    {
        _isDarkMode = newValue;
        return InvokeAsync(StateHasChanged);
    }
