Packages can no longer publish because "XXXXXX is a core module name"

Our teams have been successfully publishing for months a package called @company-repo/domain

Today we're suddenly seeing the errors crop up:

➤ YN0035: domain is a core module name
➤ YN0035:   Response Code: 400 (Bad Request)
➤ YN0035:   Request Method: PUT
➤ YN0035:   Request URL: https://npm.pkg.github.com/@company-repo%2fdomain

What happened? Why are we getting denied by the registry now? What can we do to fix this, other than use a non-"core name"?

It appears that this has started working again. Thank you Github engineers for fixing it up in the API!
