Unable to open camera while verifying student ID in android

Hi everyone,

While reverifying myself for github student developer pack, I tried capturing my student ID from my phone but when i selected student ID from the dropdown menu, and then clicking on "open camera" it doesn't asks for camera permissions and camera doesn't opens. Here's a screenshot for the same

It does open on my laptop but if i submit it through laptop, it might get rejected with the reason of poor quality.
