Hello GitHub Community,
I'm reaching out here because I'm unable to access GitHub Support directly due to this issue.
Problem Summary:
I created a GitHub Enterprise trial account for my company and later deleted it. Now our entire company domain is locked in the Enterprise Managed Users (EMU) system, and none of our employees can create or access GitHub accounts.
Error Message:
When anyone from our company tries to sign up or log in with their work email (@ourcompany.com), they receive:
"This email is associated with an Enterprise Managed User (EMU) account. Use a different email address or talk to your administrator about how to sign in to your existing EMU account."
Details:
Affected: All emails from our company domain
When it started: After deleting the Enterprise trial
Impact: Our entire team is blocked from using GitHub
Previous action: Deleted the Enterprise account through Settings
What I've tried:
Waiting for the domain to be released
Attempting to recreate accounts (same error)
Looking for support options (cannot access support portal without an account)
Questions:
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
How long does it typically take for a domain to be released from EMU?
Is there a way to expedite this with GitHub Support given we can't access the support portal?
Are there any self-service options to release our domain?
This is blocking critical work for our team. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
