| It looks like this issue is related to the “Unknown merge status” message showing up in the PR view, along with the Recheck Merge Status button not responding. This typically happens when GitHub Actions or branch protection rules are temporarily out of sync — for example, when a workflow hasn’t reported its status correctly or a required check was renamed or deleted. 🔧 Suggested actions: Try pushing a new commit (or rebase and force-push) to trigger a fresh merge-status check. Verify that all required status checks still exist and match the branch protection settings. If this persists across repositories, it might be a platform issue — you can track related discussions here: Internal ticket reference: #3809414 If none of these resolve it, you can report it directly via GitHub Support |

GitHub Mobile beta for Android
Tapping the recheck merge status button doesn't change anything.
I'm not even sure what this is. Per @tmilost , it's apparently this:
The PR isn't merged at this time.
