Hi GitHub team,
I’ve noticed that the “Watched Repositories” menu item has been removed from the GitHub interface, even though the page at https://github.com/watching
still works.
This change has made it harder to manage the repositories I follow, especially across dozens (or hundreds) of projects where I rely on fine-grained watch settings (e.g., all activity vs. releases only). The current workaround — manually bookmarking the /watching URL — feels like a regression in usability.
There’s no obvious link from the profile dropdown, notifications center, or repositories tab that points to this list anymore. For users who actively watch projects as part of their workflow, the removal adds unnecessary friction.
Suggestions:
Please consider restoring a visible link to the “Watched repositories” page, either in the profile menu, under “Your repositories,” or in the Notifications tab.
Alternatively, allow users to pin important GitHub pages (e.g., “Watched,” “Stars,” “Notifications”) to a quick-access menu.
Thanks for considering this request — I really appreciate the work your team puts into GitHub’s evolving interface.
Best regards,
Yair
