provide account switch NEVER allow oauth access to PRIVATE email. instead only GH alias #176768

Hey @alienatedted !! That’s a really valid privacy concern — and you’re right, GitHub already supports email aliasing for commits and notifications. It would make sense to extend that to OAuth flows too, where GitHub could automatically substitute your private email with the @users.noreply.github.com alias. I have this exact problem also. Chiming in is oft unwarranted where a vote will do but this harvesting behavior is beyond egregious |

When I log into certain sites OAuth they "request" my private email.
PRIVATE
Sure, I could avoid using those services or GH could provide an option to protect me. I see there is an email alias for similar purpose. Give me an account switch to SILENTLY replace PRIVATE email address with that
