provide account switch NEVER allow oauth access to PRIVATE email. instead only GH alias

When I log into certain sites OAuth they "request" my private email.

Sure, I could avoid using those services or GH could provide an option to protect me. I see there is an email alias for similar purpose. Give me an account switch to SILENTLY replace PRIVATE email address with that

That’s a really valid privacy concern — and you’re right, GitHub already supports email aliasing for commits and notifications.

It would make sense to extend that to OAuth flows too, where GitHub could automatically substitute your private email with the @users.noreply.github.com alias.

You can open a feature request under GitHub Feedback → Account and Profile
so the team can track it officially — this isn’t configurable yet, but your idea aligns perfectly with GitHub’s privacy model

Choose “Account and Profile” — that’s the right category rectangle for this kind of feature request.
