Hello,
My GitHub account was flagged after multiple login attempts, even though I successfully verified my identity using my recovery passkey. It’s quite confusing that an account can still be flagged after such a secure verification step.
What’s even more frustrating is that every possible support or recovery option — including contacting GitHub Support — requires phone verification via SMS, yet GitHub doesn’t send text messages to my country. With all due respect, it feels quite unreasonable to require users to provide a phone number when SMS delivery isn’t even supported in their region.
I’ve tried every available recovery method, but they all lead back to the same SMS request. Could someone from the GitHub team please provide an alternative way to verify my identity (for example, via email, recovery passkey, or account ownership proof)?
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
