Thanks for pointing this out! After the recent iOS 26 UI overhaul, having just a generic icon makes it harder to distinguish between accounts at a glance. It would be great if GitHub could bring back the profile picture indicator or add some kind of visual cue (like account initials or color accents) to make switching and recognizing accounts easier. This small detail really improved the user experience for those of us who manage multiple profiles. Hopefully, it can be reconsidered in a future update! 🙌 |

I have multiple GitHub accounts logged into the mobile app (work and personal). Previously when I opened the app it would should my profile pictures on the "Profile" tab so I could quickly tell which user I was acting as currently. After the recent iOS 26 UI overhaul update the Profile tab icon just shows a generic icon until I tap on it. This makes it a lot harder to tell at a glance which user I currently am. This is especially annoying since I use the app primarily to check my notifications on the go, and it's really important to my workflow to know which user I am seeing notifications for.
