I just tried to diagnose a TLS certificate issuance error with my custom GitHub Pages domain and the virtual agent was unhelpful to the point of making me contemplate conclusions that would have been incorrect.
It'd be very helpful (and reduce the amount of support time spent responding to people who think GitHub might have a bug on their end) if the virtual agent could do a quick check on the domain it's asked for and been given to point out mistakes (or, in my case, "used to be correct but things changed on GitHub's end" values) in the domain's DNS records. (eg. stuff like missing
AAAArecords andCNAMErecords that point at the old<user>.github.cominstead of the current<user>.github.io.)Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
