Hi GitHub team,
I’m reaching out with some feedback about the Copilot Chat experience. When attaching a repository to a Copilot Chat session, the search currently lists a wide range of repositories, and it can be difficult to quickly locate one’s own repositories among them.
It would be very helpful if repositories owned by the current user or organisation were prioritised at the top of the search results. This would reduce friction, make the workflow faster, and align with the typical user expectation — since in most cases, the intent is to connect Copilot Chat with one’s own repo rather than external/public ones.
I believe this change could significantly improve usability, especially for developers working across multiple projects.
Thank you for considering this suggestion, and for all the work you’re doing to make Copilot more effective.
Best regards,
Erwann
