I just built gitsm – a CLI wrapper around Git that simplifies working with multiple SSH keys.
Instead of editing your ~/.ssh/config, gitsm helps you interactively choose an SSH key when cloning a repo:
sql
Copy
Edit
gitsm clone [email protected]:user/repo.git --ssh
✅ No need to touch config files
✅ Works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.
✅ Uses existing SSH keys from .ssh/
🧠 Idea is to make Git + SSH key management beginner-friendly and cross-platform.
💬 Would love to hear your thoughts:
Would this help in your workflow?
Any suggestions or feature requests?
🙏 Feedback welcome!
