There are two ways I proceed with this error.

1. (Create the branch with manual upload)

• Upload a file from the local repository manually using the Github website in your Browser.

{ Remember to use one of the files from the same folder that you will use later on in the project.}

• It will create a branch name master or main.

• Use the created branch to push the changes with ( git push -u origin master) or (git push -u origin main)

2. (If you have created a readme or gitignore while creating the repo)

• Use (git pull) to get the changes

• Use (git push -u origin)
