Student pack application has been stuck on "pending" for the last month.

1 month ago i have applied for the student pack, read on the student pack page that it could take from as little as some days to a few weeks but it has been 1 month since the application and no further news and the status of the applications is still on "pending" all my other friends in uni have gotten theirs in a few days.

Could someone help me out with this?

I totally understand your concern — waiting a whole month is definitely longer than usual.

Based on my own experience:
👉 When I submitted my application, I didn’t receive any confirmation email, but I met all the requirements, so I just waited.
✅ If your application meets the requirements, GitHub usually doesn't send a notification — it just stays in "pending" until it gets approved.
❌ But if something is missing or incorrect, GitHub will notify you by email to fix it.
I got approved in about 4 days without any email in between.

So if it's been a month with no update, I recommend reaching out to GitHub Education Support — just include your GitHub username and school email, and they can help you directly.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I submitted my application on September 13th, and it's still pending as of October 26. I reached the GitHub Education Support. However, they don't provide a service of checking the status anymore and simply redirect to the personal setting page, where it says the application is pending.

Has anyone encountered a similar scenario and has any clues on how to resolve it?

Hi,

I submitted my application on September 12th, and I’m still waiting for it to be approved. Some of my friends from the same university got accepted within a few days. I have no idea how to resolve this or how to reach support for help...
