Hi everyone,

Today all of a sudden my github codespaces is showing this message "You seem to have a billing issue. Please adjust your billing settings to continue using codespaces.", I am unable to open my codespaces, I have a Github Student account, can anyone explain what's the fix and sorry if its a repeat.

I'm having a similar issue, but apparently you get $3.15 of total account usage per month, on the free plan.
after some time of not being active, I just learned that I cannot access my codespaces, and I am irritated because I did not know of this sooner, as I have not received any notification of this happening.

I have the same issue. In the billing tab it says I used 8 hours this month only. I too have a github student pack. One day it works - the other it just doesn't. This is embarrassing - for a billion dollar company to have this much of an unusable product with non understandable error messages. What billing issue? When I go to the billing tab there is NOTHING indicating that there is any issue. It's far off better to just get a Hetzner VPS and self-host a VS Code server.

Was it a private repository in a Free Plan Organization? if yes, you have to make the repository into public and if it was public already or in a Team or Enterprise organization, you can open a ticket then ask why you can't make a codespace for that repository.
