Hi GitHub Team 👋,
I recently came across a small UI inconsistency in the repository settings, and I’d love to bring it to your attention—and if possible, understand how I can contribute to improving it!
What’s Happening?
In the Settings page of any repository, there’s a section for Social preview with an "Edit" button. The button itself looks normal, but its clickable area extends beyond its visible boundaries. This means that even if I click outside the button, it still activates, which suggests the interactive container is larger than expected.
Steps to Reproduce
Expected vs. Actual Behavior
✅ Expected: The clickable area should be strictly limited to the button.
⚠️ Actual: Clicking outside the button still triggers the action.
Can I Help?
I know this would require an internal fix from the GitHub team, but if there’s any way to contribute—such as testing, providing more details, or following along with any related discussions—I’d love to be involved. If this is already tracked somewhere, I’d appreciate a pointer so I can stay updated!
Looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks for all the amazing work you do.
Best,
Shaswat Shrivas
