how to stop sponsored people notifications?

i sponsored someone and i no longer sponsor him but i am getting notifications about him in the home page.
how can i stop that?

Whenever i go to the home page I see his (the person i sponsored) notifications as if i am following him, which i am not...

Same issue here, it has been more than a year since I last sponsored the person I still see in the feed.

i just block the person with no reason to block him except just to stop the notifications... :(

Yeah, this has been frustrating for a lot of people. As far as I can tell, GitHub still doesn’t provide a proper way to unsubscribe from updates about someone you used to sponsor unless you either:

Unfollow them (if you are following), or

Block them (which, as you said, feels pretty drastic just to clear the feed)

If you haven’t already tried this, here are a few things you can double-check:

Following Status:
Go to their profile and see if the Follow button says “Following.” If so, unfollowing should stop notifications.

Watch Settings:
If you had starred or watched any of their repos, you can unwatch them here:

Sponsorship Settings:
Visit your sponsorship settings to see if any residual connection is still active:
https://github.com/sponsors

Notification Settings:
You can also look under:
https://github.com/settings/notifications
Though these usually only affect emails, not the homepage feed.

Beyond that, unfortunately, there isn’t an official toggle to fully sever the “sponsorship relationship” feed association. If blocking is your only workaround, I agree it’s not ideal.
