Deleting your sponsorship account

My sponsor "account" was created it's now stuck in limbo. I can't move ahead, nor can I find a way to delete it but I keep getting nag emails about finishing the process. How can you disable/delete the sponsors account without nuking your normal github account?

*Just as a note I found docs on how to disable but it's irrelevant given the UI for how to complete the steps is missing/outdated or simply requires the process to have been completed.

Support finally got back to me and there is indeed a logic issue with this. They have manually fixed my issue and hopefully will fix the UI/logic to keep others from being stuck in this limbo in the future.
