Dear GitHub Team,
I am writing to you as a new GitHub user, a programmer who primarily uses Chinese. I am reaching out to express my serious concern regarding the appearance of Chinese posts on GitHub that allegedly involve political topics. These posts have severely impacted my search experience and, in my view, they do not align with the purpose of GitHub as a community for developers and a platform for code hosting.
The greatest value of GitHub as a global platform for programming and technology exchange lies in its provision of an environment free from political interference, allowing developers to focus on technical sharing and collaboration. However, recently, while searching for technology-related content, I have frequently encountered Chinese posts related to political issues. These posts are irrelevant to the technical subjects I am searching for and have significantly disrupted my search results, diminishing my work efficiency.
Specifically, I have come across several Chinese posts in my search results that are related to political issues. These posts are not relevant to the technical subjects I am searching for and, in my opinion, they do not comply with GitHub’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
I would like to request that the GitHub team review these posts and remove them in accordance with your policies. Additionally, I suggest that GitHub strengthens its content moderation mechanisms to ensure that the platform remains focused on technical content and prevents the intrusion of political content, especially content that may cause discomfort to the Chinese-speaking user community.
I look forward to your response and hope to see GitHub continue to be a professional and positive community for technology. Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
A New GitHub User
