gcc seems to catch more issues than clang with some warnings set, particularly -Wshadow. This PR eliminates some warnings that gcc emits. To test this branch, I installed gcc 14 via MacPorts, set
gccto point to gcc 14, and rancheck-cpp.This PR is needed to complete nasa/fprime#3319.
