I just noticed that there is a dedicated Ideas discussion topic. I keep forgetting that discussions exist. Can someone please move this issue to discussions, since I don't seem to be able to do that? |

Small disclaimer: This idea is the result of me thinking about how I could improve my local hosting in the future, I currently don't need this, but I think it's a neat idea that I wanted to share.
As an alternative to sending a wol packet the wol-proxy could instead run a script or command when it wants to wake the upstream server.
This would allow the reuse of existing automations (for example: A homeassistant automation triggered via curl that turns on a power socket) to manage the upstream server.
