Hi, i noticed default config file added more features since like 4 months ago.
Instagram added:
extractor.instagram.user-strategy <- didnt had that before, default "topsearch" behaves like before that feature was added?
"web_profile_info" | "info" is something newly added?
extractor.instagram.user-cache <- its just how we wanna let the program work with the temporary files right? disk or ram
other questions:
how can i make these go into a subfolder inside downloaded user?
extractor.instagram.previews
also a stories subfolder for stories to avoid messing with root user one.
I have been using for metadata you told me years ago:
for x that one
twitter/x added:
extractor.twitter.limit <- my old config dont have it, does that mean it works hidden at default 50 right now? or im getting less results in old config?
extractor.twitter.metadata-user <- looks similar to extractor.instagram.metadata right? but on twitter case didnt work by default?
extractor.twitter.pinned <- can be redundant because if you scrape entire account you end up downloading it anyway? is just if you only wanna specify downloading these.
extractor.twitter.retries-api <- didnt had that before, before would do unlimited or had a lower default than 9?
extractor.twitter.search-limit <- does that control how much it search per tick? different ammounts just affect speed but all of them end up giving the same ammount of media at the end of scrapping?
extractor.twitter.search-pagination <- is for when i wanna continue from some point? so i get a cursor?
extractor.twitter.search-results <- means it start scrapping from newest to oldest?
extractor.twitter.videos <- there is no advantage in higher res compared to instagram who need yt-dlp right?
how could i create a subfolder for these in each? like question 3. and 4.
I aim to get folder structure:
Sorry for the wall of text but i rarely update the config and i dont want to break anything. But new features can be handy and is good to be updated. Im not very bright but i try to do my best.
Take your time, there is no hurry.
