Windows Clipboard

Hitting Ctrl-C picks up only a single entity (text or file)
When hitting Ctrl-C once more it clears all previous data on Clipboard and picks up and keeps only the newly selected entity

It would be useful to make Windows Clipboard to collect at least text lines/links in some kind of a chain method
keeping all picked up texts/links until the next Ctrl-V
after hitting Ctrl-V it would clean its content

This would help manually collecting several download links from a single webpage,
since it would eliminate:

• the need for switching between Web browser and Text editor after picking up/pasting each link
• the need for that lot Ctrl-Vs after copying each link

thus sparing a lot of time and lag of switching between applications

Is it possible to make a setting for Windows Clipboard to do so?

How (or why) should gallery-dl extend the Windows clipboard feature?!

No, I didn't mean gallery-dl doing this.

Here is the basic issue:

For example: in Firefox, you are browsing a content web page.
You find several preview pictures interesting and want to download their actual full-size versions with gallery-dl,
But first you have to collect their links.
You could do that by opening each one of them into new tabs in Firefox and copy each link from their respective address bars, however when you surf amongst new pictures .... : ((
new tabs are racking up into hundreds, then thousand, significantly, worse yet terribly slowing Firefox and your PC down.
And of course you want keep all of them open for copying their links.
Then you find a new way to collect their links, by Right-Clicking on each preview picture and clicking 'Copy link',
and then go to a txt file and hit Ctrl-V to paste its link into a .txt file - yet you have to do this process time and time again for each link one-by-one.
However running Firefox with hundreds or thousands tabs open makes the very switching between Firefox and WordPad and back terribly slow.

So if you could have the Windows' own Clipboard mechanism set to be enabled to fetch multiple targets in chain and keep them on Clipboard simultaneously, .... : ))
that would allow you to stay in Firefox, while collecting several links with mouse by 'Right-Clicking and Copy-Link' on each preview picture from a single or many web pages/tabs.
That would eliminate the need for putting each link out of the Windows Clipboard's memory, before picking up the next one, by switching between Firefox and WordPad and pasting them one by one into a .txt.
And you wouldn't have to switch back between WordPad and Firefox for picking up each new link,
and that would spare you a lot of time and STRESS building up from the painstakingly slowed down switching back between WordPad and Firefox. This switching-back-between-WordPad-and-Firefox time gets really bad, when Firefox is being slowed down by several hundreds or thousand open tabs.

I had found this issue very stressful and would like To solve this. For that:

I am seeking for a simple Windows tweak, that would enable Windows' own Clipboard mechanism to collect links/texts in chain.
This would enable Windows to understand consecutive Ctrl-C hits like below:

Whether right-clicking on multiple preview pictures/hyperlinks and clicking 'Copy link' in their respective Windows Special Menu,
or repeating Ctrl-C hits one after another,
would get understood by Windows' own Clipboard mechanism like:

• pick up the first link, put it on Clipboard, keep it on Clipboard no matter how many (or to a reasonable value e.g. 64 or 128 or 256)
• new Ctrl-C hits-by-user accumulate
• keep all Clipboard pick-ups/entries simultaneously in Clipboard's memory
• when a Ctrl-V hit-by-user occurs e.g. in WordPad, put all Clipboard's pick-ups/entries into new lines, like below each other in the .txt file
• after successfully putting out all Clipboard's memory, let Windows' Clipboard mechanism to erase all its content upon a new Ctrl-C hit-by-user

Basically a chain Ctrl-C - Ctrl-C - Ctrl-C - Ctrl-C - Ctrl-C - ... operation ended by a single Ctrl-V operation,
meaning: Pick-Up-A-New-Link - Pick-Up-A-New-Link - Pick-Up-A-New-Link - ... - Store all of them simultaneously in Clipboard's memory -
Upon a single Ctrl-V in a .txt file, put all of Clipboard's entries out at once.

Is there any way to do this via making some new Windows Registry Database entries or similar?

@GotoConsol This is sort of beyond the scope of gallery-dl, but this other extension for Firefox and Chromium browsers might be what you are looking for.
