How to scrape media content from a privated account on Twitter/X that I follow?

Hello, I'm trying to scrape all the media content of a user who recently privated their account on Twitter/X, and so far, cookies only allowed me to scrape a quarter of their posts. I tried replacing that with my username and password for the config file, but as the screenshot shows, it flagged the login as suspicious. So now Im asking the community what I can do to solve this issue, hope you folks can help.

I had the same problem.

I tried to use my login - rejected as suspicious. then I tried to use cookies > Permission denied.

I close the browser and tried again , still denied.

I then export the cookies and use this and still denied..

Where you are getting your cookie from shouldn't matter. There always is (and always has been) a limit on how many Tweets one can get. The /media timeline returns the most recent ~1000 and everything after that has to be retrieved via search, which is inconsistent, incomplete, and heavily rate-limited, especially for adult-rated content and probably also for privated account.

You can try x.com/USER/media and a custom search like x.com/search?q=from:USER ... separately and see if that helps, but I am not aware of any better / more complete way of getting Tweets and the media therein.

TLDR: I don't know. Twitter is a terrible platform for hosting media.
