October 2025 release breaks GitHub Copilot `Ctrl+Y` "Keep" shortcut.

It doesn't look like the Ctrl+Y shortcut for "Keep" works anymore.

I click in the green section in the red/green diff in the file. The "Keep/Undo" hover appears. I type Ctrl+Y, but nothing happens.

I don't know that the October 2025 update broke this, but I'm pretty sure it worked before the October 2025 release.

I tried several things, even clicking "Keep" on one of the changes, but still Ctrl+Y wouldn't work for the next change.

Note that Ctrl+Shift+Y still works to accept all remaining changes.

I made a change so that cmd+y and cmd+n require focus is inside the corresponding change. I have done that because there was a lot of negative feedback from folks that expect cmd+n to always open a new file. See #258281 for more details on that discussion.

You can restore the before-behaviour with a custom keybinding, make sure to not have the chatEdits.cursorInChangeRange when-clause.

It is not clear to me how to change focus to the corresponding change. I clicked on the green section again and again. That is what a user would expect would change the focus to the thing being clicked on.

Yeah, that should do it and that how I just tested it on my machine. Put the cursor into the green and things should work. Can you try that, also enable "Toggle Keyboard Troubleshooting "

It happened again; it gets into some state where clicking on the changes won't do whatever focusing is needed for Ctrl+Y to work.

It may (or may not) be related to the fact that I asked the LLM to make changes before accepting all the previous changes. I did notice that one section of green had different shades of green for different parts of the section.

Yes I see the cursor. Everything appears normal. But I can't get the Ctrl+Y to accept the change my cursor is in.

Now how do I get rid of this danged Keyboard Troubleshooter? I would think "toggle" means that the second "toggle" would take it away, but still it is there.
