I've been involved with OpenRAG since its inception as Product Lead for the Agentic Knowledge pillar at IBM. The project was born from conversations with developers and enterprises who were struggling with the complexity of building production-ready RAG applications.

We saw teams spending weeks just setting up infrastructure and wrestling with integration challenges instead of focusing on their actual use cases. OpenRAG is our answer to that - making it easy to get started while providing the flexibility needed for sophisticated applications.

It's been incredible watching the project grow and seeing the creative ways people are using it. Every day I discover new use cases I hadn't even considered!
