Just copy the psycopg2-3.6 directory into your AWS Lambda project and rename it to psycopg2 before creating your AWS Lambda zip package.

This applies to Python 3.7 and 3.8 too with their respective builds. For example, if you are using it with virtualenv, delete psycopg2 from the venv/lib/python3.8/site-packages and place the psycopg2-3.8 in the same dir before renaming back to psycopg2.
