Add a volume for a "config" folder and save the settings on the server.

Personally, I use several different devices, and on each one I use, when I make a configuration change, I have to export/load the configuration. It would be nice if Jeishin had a “config” unit where it could save the configuration on the same server.

IDK if Electron allows moving the config directory like that, that would be a question for jeff.

But regardless of that you can already do this (at least on Linux and likely Mac) by symlinking the config directory to somewhere on the server.

For Windows it's likely possible too but it's been a hot minute.

If symlinking is not an option for you, you can also use something like SyncThing to keep them in sync.

Ah, I assumed you were talking about the desktop client.

For the Webclient I'm not sure if there is any ability to sync because the configuration is stored in the browser's local storage.

I didn't explain well, sorry. Normally, dockers have a variable to activate a "config" volume where the configuration is stored. But honestly, I don't understand much of this, and maybe what I'm asking for is impossible. Thanks anyway!

I understand what you're saying, but Feishin doesn't use this.
No settings are saved on the server side, the Docker container only serves the web application, but the application itself is run entirely client side. So any changes you make to the configuration on a client are only saved on your local browser (for the desktop app Electron is the browser).
So even if there was a config volume, it wouldn't change the situation because nothing is saved there in the first place.
