I am pleased to announce that the February 2026 edition of the MOOSE Newsletter is live on our website. Notable changes include:

• The use of the Capabilities system has been expanded in the TestHarness
• Distributed mesh support has been added to more objects
• Optimizations for FullSolveMultiApp with fixed point iteration
• libMesh was updated from libMesh/libmesh@502d428...6232e98 and libMesh/libmesh@6232e98...f8a1758
• PETSc was updated from v3.24.3...v3.24.4
• Various package updates (driven by compiler, MPI wrapper, and Python updates below):
  • MPICH updated to 5.0.0
  • OpenMPI updated to 5.0.9
  • Pytorch updated to 2.10.0
  • VTK updated to 9.6.0
