Description here... Help the reviewer by:

  • Replaced deprecated @genkit-ai/googleai with @genkit-ai/google-genai in testapps
(The deprecated @genkit-ai/googleai package fails at runtime (models and embedders) under UI-driven execution)
  • Updated model names referenced in dotprompt files to currently supported Gemini models
(Model identifiers (e.g. googleai/gemini-pro) referenced in .prompt / dotprompt files no longer resolve or function, regardless of which Google AI package is used)

This pull request addresses critical configuration issues within the prompt-file test application. It updates the Google AI provider dependency to the correct, non-deprecated package and adjusts the referenced Gemini model names to their currently supported versions. These changes ensure the test application functions as expected, preventing runtime errors and ensuring proper model resolution.

Highlights

  • Dependency Update: The deprecated @genkit-ai/googleai package has been replaced with the currently supported @genkit-ai/google-genai in the prompt-file test application to resolve runtime failures.
  • Model Configuration Update: Model identifiers in .prompt files within the prompt-file test application have been updated from googleai/gemini-pro to googleai/gemini-pro-latest to ensure compatibility with current Gemini models.

Code Review

This pull request correctly updates the testapps to use the new @genkit-ai/google-genai package instead of the deprecated @genkit-ai/googleai. The model identifiers in the prompt files are also updated. My feedback focuses on improving the stability of the test application by suggesting pinning to a specific model version instead of using the -latest tag, which could cause tests to fail unexpectedly in the future.
