is there a setting or config to tell tycho not to use certain mirrors?

the last few months we have it of then that our jenkins build just get stuck:

and i notice it is always when it hats a ".ru" mirror..

then it just doesn't continue, it just stays there.

So now the question is is it possible to just say don't use those mirrors?

Mirror selection is deeply integrated in P2 and Tycho has no influence over that. So if you like something like this, we first need some kind of interception point there.

thx, i was just wondering this.

for now i just pointed the dns to 127.0.0.1 to see how it then behaves.. (but i don't know what the trigger is that it suddenly goes to that, it happens just randomly)

There is -Declipse.p2.mirrors=false but that doesn't selectively remove a mirror but rather stops using mirrors entirely so it's really an answer to your actual question.

Exactly that's the case (roughly):

1. Eclipse delivers a mirror list with mirrors "near by your location"
2. P2 picks one mirror randomly and starts some downloads
3. based on the results (e.g. speed) it rates mirror quality and try to decide better on the next request: MirrorSelector
