How can I select a list's item to vet an object?

Let's say I have the following CUE file

users: [...{
		name:     string
		age: int }]

And a user yaml

name: John,
age:25

How can I cue vet that the above user complies with the user's list elements?

Solved it by using path and --list flag.
cue vet users.cue user.yaml -l users: --list

But if I use -d --list is not allowed. Could someone explain why?
