Hi, anki_username refers to your Anki profile name. Let me know if you are still having issues.

Now that you mention it, I realize "username" is not entirely clear. I will update the variable name for 'profile' instead of 'username' to make it more intuitive. Thank you!

Thank you.After changing the username, the card was successfully added to Anki.
But SentenceAudio doesn't work,does the layout of ffmpeg_path :C:\Program Files\mpv\ffmpeg.exe or C:\Program Files\mpv\ffmpeg.exe or C:/Program Files/mpv/ffmpeg.exe or C:/Program Files/mpv/ and so on in windows?

Can you check the following inside Windows PowerShell:

ffmpeg -version

What do you get ? Do you get an error ?

And inside Windows PowerShell, could you try running the following command with a video file and try exporting a card? Then, please share the output you get from the terminal:

mpv --msg-level=mpv2anki=debug "C:\Users\your_username\path_to_video\your_video_name.mp4"

Double-Check the Following:

1. Ensure ffmpeg.exe is located at C:\Program Files\mpv\ffmpeg.exe on your local machine.
2. Verify that the note type matches the field type in Anki.

Notes on Configuration (mpv2anki.conf):

The script (in config.lua) should automatically set paths based on your operating system, so you shouldn’t need to modify the mpv2anki.conf file. I’ve tested the script on a Windows computer, and it worked without any changes to mpv2anki.conf. However, your setup might differ, so I’ve included a few options in the mpv2anki.conf file just in case. You can try adjusting these settings to see if it resolves the issue.

Common Issues to Consider/Try:

You might be encountering one of the following issues:

• Path-related problems (e.g. incorrect or missing paths). Your computer might interpret paths differently. Try experimenting with different path formats inside mpv2anki.conf. Also Check where ffmpeg is located on your local machine.
• FFmpeg not being detected due to system path issues (On Windows, you might need to add ffmpeg.exe to your system’s path environment variables).
• Configuration mismatches in mpv2anki.conf. (field names, etc.)

I'll be adding more comprehensive debugging messages in the future to address different scenarios.
Feel free to share any error messages. To be honest, installing and configuring mpv and ffmpeg isn't the most straightforward process...

May I ask if it's possible not to crop the image? One image is about 200KB, occupying space on the C drive.
Or cropping the image is optional.
Or the captured image size is smaller.

I'll make the image snapshot optional and add a way for users to specify the image size. I haven't had time to implement any updates over the past few months, but I'll aim to push the changes by the end of next week. Let me know if you would like another feature to be included. Also, feel free to submit a PR (Pull Request) with any modifications you'd like to make. I'll update here, in this chat, once the changes are pushed.

you can uncomment this line in mpv.conf this will reduce the quality only

or

in script-opts/mpv2anki.conf change this line fromresize_image=false to resize_image=true. I have added a check that will resize and reduce the quality of the screenshot
