Comparing Identical Paths - Warning

I accidentally deleted a folder thinking I had an identical backup on a different drive.
WinMerge did not warn me that I was comparing the same paths.

Is this a feature that I have inadvertently disabled, or does it not exist?

When opening the same file on both sides, WinMerge shows the message “Same file is opened in both panels.”
However, there is currently no similar warning when comparing identical folder paths.
It might be useful if WinMerge could display a message in that case.
