I think in the context of a note-taking app, the wording of the version history diff plugin is fine. I currently don't see the need to reimplement much of the work. There are other features which have a higher priority. |

Hi, I have been using the git plugin for a while now in my vault. I am used to git and been using it since 20 years maybe. I read discussion #960 and haven't had a chance to share my thought on it before it was closed. I must disagree about the usefulness and well-madeness of the Version History Diff. It uses terms not related to git (sync, file recovery) and I don't think the UI is really good. It adds more confusion than anything else for new Obsidian user (IMHO). The git plugin would benefit a lot from separating from that other plugin and stick to GIT features. GIT is not about File Recovery or Sync. If you lose some changes. GIT is about searching through history and reapplying them. Obsidian users are not all familiar with GIT and they should learn it the right way.
