Need help. When I open a Video file, it never opens, just cycles. The video plays in the display.

Any suggestions?

Did you download ' FFmpeg ' and set it up inside Settings? To play a video, it needs to download " mpv lib " if mpv player is selected, and only mpv works for me.

Not loading the waveform now and then is something I encounter for years.
It happens never on the first opening a srt file but sometimes after closing SE and opening
the file again to work on it I will get stuck with a "Generating waveform in background...".
The video plays ok.

The only way to get out of this is open the Settings.xml and clean the "RecentFiles" section.
After this the waveform loads, without generating.
