According to the Vulkan spec - yes: maxDescriptorSetSamplers is the maximum number of samplers that can be included in a pipeline layout. I have essentially the same question with some additional questions here, so I don't want to make a separate post as this post captures the essence of my question: Since it seems that:
Does that mean we are limited to only 80 textures bound to a pipeline at any given time? |

Hello, I wonder if that conuts against unique samplers because:
works which different images are used together with only single sampler (combined image sampler)
where getMaxSamplerCount() returns 2048 for me, and I assume it should only work when tex[2048] (or not?)
or we should not determine base on VK_STRUCTURE_TYPE_PHYSICAL_DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_INDEXING_PROPERTIES because they are arbitrary?
