Debian Long Term Support (LTS) is a project to extend the lifetime of all Debian stable releases to (at least) 5 years. Debian LTS will not be handled by the Debian security team, but by a separate group of volunteers and companies interested in making it a success.
Debian releases do not follow a fixed schedule. Recent releases have been made roughly biennially by the Debian Project.
Debian distribution codenames are based on the names of characters from the Toy Story films. Debian's unstable trunk is named after Sid, a character who regularly destroyed the toys.

Debian had became my favorite distro after trying out elementary os. Made my transition from Windows to Debian, while it was with Strech couldn't ask for anything better to do it.
