question: Organization Name "FortAwesome"

GitHub Org-Name FortAwesome instead of FontAwesome

Maybe a useless question, but it caught my interest and maybe someone else's as well:
Is the only reason you operate under FortAwesome, that an organization with the name FontAwesome already exists?

Thoughts

This is interesting to me, as I would think a highly popular GitHub organizations with projects used by millions of websites could easily contact GitHub to get their name back.
Especially cause it looks like classic namespace squatting hoping for 💰 from you guys, or just a dead account.

Solution

As this was only something I stummbled on, I don't even know if a solution is wanted, but just in case:

• I noticed there's a GitHub Trademark Policy Violation Report that can only be submitted by the trademark owner.
• At first glance, the GitHub Trademark Policy looks like its requirements are met in this case.

@alexpoiry I wasn't aware that there was a FontAwesome organization. Is it worth trying to do something with that? Obtaining it somehow? It feels like it could be a security issue and GitHub has been historically friendly to us asking for measures to be taken with repos.

To answer your comment @onexbash: The choice of FortAwesome is a historical, storied journey. It's, of course, confusing but very intentional. At the time it came about, FortAwesome was thought to be a conglomeration.

If you wanna change to "FontAwesome", I just told you how you could do it (theoretically ^^).
