How to exit a distrobox?

I know how to enter a distrobox, however, I don't know how to exit it. Looks like typing "exit" simply executes logout and exits the distrobox. (Then one can stop the container form outside the distrobox.) Can you simply exit a distrobox w/o logging out? Do you simply close the terminal window?

At any rate, the conceptual environment around concepts such as:

• create/destroy distrobox
• enter/exit distrobox (... meaning exiting from within the distrobox)
• log in/out of a distrobox
• start/stop a distrobox

is quite muddled, so someone should step up and define these concepts rigorously.

After exit, i use podman stop container-name to stop the container, because even exiting it keeps running
