If it matters, I have tried this on:
Linux Nobara ver 43 (but older versions has the same issue)
STL ver 14 (but older versions had the same issue)
Vortex ver beta 1.16 (but older versions had the same issue)
Proton version GE 28 (but other versions had the same issue)
Steamtinkerlaunch installed via Protonplus (natively installed) and applied to steam (natively installed). But the flatpak versions of both didn't work either (STL wouldn't even launch).
I have been trying for a week to get vortex to work inside steamtinkerlaunch, and if it's not one problem, it's another. First, vortex could not find my game and no amount of fiddling with winecfg settings would fix that and let me navigate to the folder holding my games within the Wine browser. It always ignored the likes of 'show dot files.' I managed to find a way around that with symlinks, but the one hurdle I cannot clear is getting vortex to launch games. In my case, I have been trying monster hunter wilds and I am always met with "GPU not supported". Which I know is false because I can run the game normally when I am not using vortex. Just running from steamtinkerlaunch alone (sometimes) works, so I believe the issue lies between STL and Vortex, but I don't know what.
