Invocation of #new in FamixPharo does not have candidates

There is #sender, #receiver, #signature, but #candidates is empty

Here is the explanation:
When the receiver is a class, we look up the hierarchy for a method with the correct signature.
But #new is not implemented in Object. Classes understand #new as instances of Metaclass.
So when #new is not implemented in the hierarchy, we don't find any candidate.

Do we want to change that? What about the rest of the Metaclass API?

Or is the problem that we are only looking on the instance side, and not the class side?

We are looking at all methods, instance and class side.

#new is not in the hierarchy, it's in the Pharo metamodel.
We don't represent the pharo metamodel in the FamixSt metamodel: we don't represent classes as instances of Metaclass.
