why would it be a collection?
We don't have any entities that have several declared types.
Before having an association, #declaredType could return nil.

It seems that it's the fist association for which the entity has a FMOne slot, but I don't see why it would be incorrect.

It's not incorrect, but as you say, for the other associations it is a FMMany, so this being FMOne breaks the polymorphism...
